What's special about the service opportunities at Dartmouth is that they can be fun, supportive and a great place to meet new friends or hang out with current ones! Therefore, I thought I'd share a few that I've seen (or participated) in so far.
Dartmouth's Center for Social Impact has several opportunities for students to be involved with the Upper Valley. This year, I have the privilege to be involved in Foundations, a first-year program, and can't wait for other opportunities!

My friend's student organization, Musical Empowerment (ME), helps teach music to elementary school students in under-served communities to build confidence, creativity, and self-discipline.
As someone interested in medicine, I believed that it was important for me to learn about the inequities in our healthcare system. I didn't expect to find a community of peers and professionals who would inspire and motivate me.
