Professor Jedidah Isler is being recognized for her efforts to change the STEM field, making sure that women, and more specifically women of color are not an afterthought when it comes to science, technonolgy , engineering, or mathematics. The assistant professor of physics and astronomy Jedidah Isler has been recognized for her work advocating for women in the STEM field, alongside other greats such as Oprah, Serena Williams, and Michelle Obama. Isler recently spoke with PBS about being an advocate for women in STEM, and has founded The STEM en Route to Change Foundation (or The SeRCH Foundation, Inc.) – a not-for-profit organization dedicated to using science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) as a tool for social justice.
