Dartmouth provides such incredible opportunities for students to partake in. Pretty much every day for the entire term, there are events hosted by clubs and the college itself for students to partake in to escape the stress of classes. Let me tell you about some of the things I have done in the past week!

Rugby Game: Two weekends ago, my friend and I decided to go to a Women's Rugby Game! We walked to Brophy Field (about a 25 minute walk) and had a picnic on top of the hill. The rugby team is just incredible, and it was so nice to be able to support my friends on the team. Similarly, all sports games that take place at Dartmouth are open to the public, so if you are passionate about watching a specific sport, there are endless opportunities to do so here.

Homecoming: Homecoming is arguably the most eventful weekend of the term. Activities such as the Homecoming football game occurred throughout the weekend, allowing both students and the alumni who come back to celebrate this event to engage with the Dartmouth community. This year, there was a light show for the '29s due to issues with the typical bonfire ceremony because of a statewide ban on outdoor fire due to droughts, but it still served as a fantastic way to celebrate the '29s start of college. Overall, the weekend was super fun and showed just how tight the community is here!

The Hop Reopening: On the weekend of October 17th, the Hopkins Center for the Arts (also known as the Hop) officially reopened! There were numerous events to celebrate this occasion, and they were all incredible. I went to the Renée Elise Goldsberry show, and she knocked it out of the park. She sang covers, some original songs, and even songs from musicals (including Hamilton)! Other artists that came and had events included Yo-Yo Ma, Mindy Kaling, and Shonda Rhimes. These events were open to the community and really made the reopening super special.

This was just a snapshot of these past two weeks, and there is always something happening here at Dartmouth which I am eternally grateful for!
