Spring. Sprang. Sprung!
After a winter away missing everything from classes to friends to Hanover itself, I love every aspect of campus just a little bit more. That's why this spring holds a special place in my heart.
Here are the highlights:
- No. 1
Studying under the sun
- No. 2
Eating gelato
- No. 3
... lots of gelato
I think I'm addicted, honestly.
- No. 4
Lively birthday celebrations
Birthdays on campus are the best birthdays because you get to celebrate with all of your friends!
- No. 5
My roommate
I've loved every roommate I've ever had at Dartmouth. This term's no different! I love having a roommate because it means that there's always someone there for me. Besides, who else are you going to share all the highlights of the day with? Double life > single life. (I would know; I had a single all of freshman year.)
- No. 6
Fencing nationals
The fencing team traveled to Pennsylvania to compete at Collegiate Nationals this year. Although I was running a high fever, I had lots of fun bonding with (and contaminating) my teammates and even took home the gold in women's foil.
- No. 7
Answering all of your questions
- No. 8
Learning to write decent geography papers
My geography class is hard. I've learned a lot though, and I feel like I've gotten much better at writing!
- No. 9
Running Dartmouth's annual debate tournament
It might've been 70 degrees out and sunny, but directing great debate in an underground auditorium was worth it... right??!
- No. 10
When my parents visited!!!
Since I'm from Salt Lake City, Utah, my parents can't just hop in the car and see me. This spring, they made the trek to campus! I got to spend a rare weekend hanging out with my two favorite people.
- No. 11
Photoshopping my friend all over this photo
One of my closest friends, Sarah, couldn't make it to her own event. The solution? I Photoshopped her in! She's in this photo five times. Can you spot all the Sarahs (and endorse my Photoshop skills)?
- No. 12
Getting pie all over my face
My friend nominated me to compete in a "Minute to Win It" event for charity. As part of that event, I ran across a lawn with an egg in my mouth, scarfed down a donut on a string, and stuck my face in a pie.
- No. 13
Running around campus
We stan a good run.
- No. 14
Cuddling baby chickens
Each spring, Dartmouth hosts a cuddling session with many local baby animals for midterms stress relief. I met this baby chicken and simply adored him.
- No. 15
Meeting public figures
So many public figures visited campus this term. I've been trying my best to keep up.
- No. 16
IC4U with the fencing team
In the spring, the fencing team gets IC4U (Ice Cream Fore-You) together to celebrate the warm weather!

... of socializing!
Basically, everyone's back on campus in the spring. That means you get to see friends you haven't seen in almost a year. Naturally, that means that spring is a very social term.
