To support applicants and educators who have been impacted by recent disruptions related to the pandemic, storms, and wildfires, we have enacted a one-year suspension of our standardized testing requirement, extended our Early Decision application deadline, and adjusted our fee-waiver policy. Please note the following:
All Applicants
  • If paying our application fee will pose a financial burden to your family, you may request a fee waiver by selecting "yes" in response to the Dartmouth fee waiver question within the Common App. After submitting your application, please email us at to confirm your request.
  • Dartmouth College is test optional for the Class of 2025. We have added a question to the Common App where you may indicate whether or not you would like your ACT/SAT considered in the admissions process.
Early Decision Applicants Impacted by Recent Events
  • If you have been impacted by a natural disaster or recent event that has caused school closures, home evacuations, or delayed submission of application materials, you are welcome to submit your Early Decision application to Dartmouth on or before November 15, 2020. Please email us at to confirm your request.
  • Transcripts and letters of recommendation for Early Decision applicants may be submitted on or before November 15, 2020.
